Keith Micheal Murphy (they/he) is a Philadelphia-based artist. His work spans multiple mediums to comment on and celebrate cultural patterning and ornamentation. From jewelry and garment construction to printmaking, they engage with these cultural histories through the creation of armor and protective adornment. They received their MFA from Tyler School of Art and Architecture and their BFA from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. Murphy has shown work nationally at the Woodmere Museum of Art, Fabric Workshop and Museum, ArtWRKD, Dobrow Freeman Gallery, Atelier Gallery, and more. When not focused on their artistic practice they curate and work at museums and galleries.
